To stand out in the crankbait market, a company must possess in-depth knowledge of hydrodynamics, materials, and components. The development of the G87 20A was carefully planned by the DUO R&D team. While getting a lure deep is not a major challenge, ensuring the lure remains balanced like an arrow, cuts through the air with minimal crosswind effect, stays in the strike zone longer, and exhibits low retrieve resistance requires extreme precision. Masahiro Adachi, DUO's chief designer, masterfully accomplished all of this.

"During the two-year project, our R&D results set new standards in deep-diving crankbaits. While most anglers are satisfied if their deep crank reaches 130 feet (approx. 40 meters), and are impressed if it performs above 150 feet (approx. 46 meters), the G87 20A stably surpasses 200 feet (60 meters) with 12 lb line. Compared to the top deep cranks currently used by professional anglers, it achieves an advantage of up to 80 feet (approx. 24 meters). Although the lure was designed for a depth of 20 feet, through Mr. Adachi's efforts, it can reach a depth of up to 27 feet (8 meters) with a single cast and retrieve" – says Swendseid.__T19__
This excellent diving capability is due to the deep-diving crankbait's most advanced weight transfer system, which will soon be used in professional bass fishing competitions. The G87's enlarged magnetic ballast system keeps the casting bearing hidden outside the body cavity, where a Neodymium magnet holds it. This material is much stronger than ordinary magnesium and is essential for the large-sized bearing.

The 20A body is approximately 3 inches (7,6 cm) long and weighs 35 grams (1-1/5 oz). Although it appears heavy, it exhibits lower than expected water resistance and line tension during retrieve. Mr. Adachi's goal was to create a lure that travels far effortlessly and reaches deep into the darkest depths, without any strain.
