To stand out from the crowd in the crankbait market, a company must pay serious attention to hydrodynamics, materials, and components. The development of the G87 was carefully initiated by the DUO R&D team. Professional anglers have long desired a crankbait that dives deep and accurately reaches its target. While getting a lure deep is not a huge challenge, for a lure to remain balanced, slice through the air precisely like an arrow with minimal crosswind effects, stay in the strike zone longer, and exhibit low retrieve resistance requires extreme precision. This was masterfully achieved by DUO's chief designer, Masahiro Adachi.

The G87 15A maintains its 87 mm profile, advanced weight transfer system, and features the deep-diving design desired by professional anglers. This niche lure effortlessly dives to depths of 14-16 feet (4-5 m) and offers a distinct yet smooth wobbling action with low hydrodynamic resistance. This allows the angler to achieve much more without experiencing extra weight and fatigue.

This excellent diving capability in deep-diving crankbaits is due to the most advanced weight transfer system, which will soon be used in professional bass fishing tournaments. The G87's enlarged magnetic ballast system keeps the casting bearing hidden outside the body cavity, where a Neodymium magnet secures it. This material is much stronger than ordinary magnesium and is essential for the large-sized bearing.

The G87's body length is approximately 3.5 inches (9 cm), and it weighs 35 grams (1-1/5 oz). Although it may seem heavy, it has lower water resistance and line tension during retrieve than expected. Mr. Adachi's goal was to create a lure that effortlessly travels far and deep into the darkest depths, without any strain.

The G87 broke through what many considered the ultimate barrier in crankbait development, creating a new milestone. It is not only the first lure of its kind in the world but has opened a new peak and new frontiers in crankbait engineering.
