The middle bead can be pulled from the wire onto the main line, which it grips tightly from 0.28-0.40mm diameter, thus remaining fixed on both monofilament and braided lines. In case of increased resistance, the top bead slides over the moulded middle bead, ensuring the hooklink can slide freely.

The tungsten-containing, extra heavy Naked Helicopter Bead also pins the line to the bottom near the rig, increasing camouflage, especially when fishing with slack lines.

Naked Helicopter Top Beads are reusable if you thread them onto a Maggot Needle (T8815) and pull them onto a new rig.
