The Spike’um Wafter baits were developed through extensive testing to create a wafter that maintains its balanced behavior, yet is soft enough to be easily threaded onto a spike or bayonet – but not so soft that it could be easily knocked off the hook during casting or by smaller fish. In addition, we carefully ensured that Spike’um retains its wafter properties even long after opening the package – this reliability is a fundamental principle for all our method baits.
