Raid Japan has developed two contrasting types of bladed jigs: the Type-SPEED and the Type-POWER models, representing "subtle" and "powerful" attracting effects. These types were created to catch fish that were difficult to tempt with traditional bladed jigs.

To create the perfect bladed jig, classic features like strong vibration generated at slow retrieve speeds were naturally essential, but a contrasting direction also became indispensable: subtle vibration and high responsiveness at fast retrieve speeds.

Bladed jigs traditionally perform well in murky water, wind, choppy surfaces, or near snags. In Japan, however, clear water and open-water fields with fewer natural structures are common. In such environments, a different lure behavior is needed: subtle vibration and adaptability to fast retrieves.

Considering these aspects, the Type-SPEED and Type-POWER were born – two lures with different strengths for two completely different situations.

Weight variations: 11g / 14g

The concept of the MAXXBLADE Type-POWER is: "Powerful vibration that effectively attracts even with a slow retrieve". Through the deliberate distinction between the two types, the Type-POWER specializes in truly strong vibrations. It can attract fish from long distances and works particularly well in murky, windy, or choppy water, as well as in weedy, bushy areas.

The lure's powerful, rhythmic vibration is clearly perceptible during retrieve, allowing the angler to fish with sustained concentration for longer.

Previously, a weak point of bladed jigs was their low snag-avoidance capability – however, this has been significantly improved here. With the weed guard design, an optimal balance between snag-freeness and a good hook-up ratio has been achieved.

The weed guard allows for aggressive casts into difficult-to-fish areas, opening up new tactics. The Type-POWER works excellent with robust trailers like the FULLSWING 4'/5' or the EGU CHUNK 4', thus creating even greater vibration and visual bulk – which can stir even "monsters" into action.
