RAID JAPAN aimed to create a crankbait specifically developed for shore fishing. The LEVEL CRANK embodies three key characteristics:

Casting Distance
With hard lures, the further the cast, the higher the chance of a bite. Despite its compact body, the LEVEL CRANK offers casting performance comparable to a vibration lure. Furthermore, it can be targeted with extreme precision, which is fundamental during shallow water cranking. This lure combines long casting distance and precise targeting – a rare combination.

Depth Holding
During shore fishing, it is essential for the lure to travel long and steadily in the optimal water layer. The development aimed for a lure that moves predictably even in extremely shallow water. The LEVEL CRANK is tuned to be super slow-sinking, so as soon as it hits the water, it immediately starts its steady movement at 60–80 cm depth.

Snag-avoidance capability
The main locations for shore fishing are shallow, obstacle-filled areas – rock formations, bushes, weed beds. To avoid these and to trigger fish, good 'gliding' capability is essential. While traditional crankbaits dive headfirst, the LEVEL CRANK maintains the horizontal swimming position characteristic of the LEVEL series. This reduces the number of nose-first snags and allows for aggressive, yet effective, attacks on the immediate vicinity of obstacles.

During development, these three aspects – casting distance, depth holding, snag avoidance – were the most important. The LEVEL CRANK elevates cranking technique to a new level for all shore anglers.
