It is surprisingly effective on all kinds of predatory fish, not just bass, but also sea bass, mahi-mahi (dolphin fish), trout, and many others. The unpredictable 3D darting action, which moves up, down, left, right, and diagonally, creates an illusion that disorients the target fish and leads to a real strike. "Silhouette": A motionless Bent Minnow, viewed from below the water, resembles a dying small fish, creating the illusion in the target fish that it is "easy prey."
