The "Small Shad" (small shad wobbler) is undeniably a hard bait that can withstand the harshest conditions on any water. Its small, natural shape makes it extremely effective for catching passive or extremely cautious perch, whether in crystal clear or murky waters. The small shad is a type of bait that has undergone unique development in Japan. It was often used, for example, in open waters with few snags, in shallow water layers up to 2 meters deep, by twitching (jerking) or even just with a simple retrieve.

The Dunk, on the other hand, offers a completely different and unique approach to shad wobblers. It boasts two revolutionary features.

Firstly, it is capable of fishing a wide depth range from 0.5 meters all the way to 4.0 meters. On hard bottoms, many bites can be achieved even in shallow water of 0.5 meters with a simple, slow retrieve. Furthermore, the advantages of being able to attack a sudden drop-off, deepening from 1.0 meter to 4.0 meters, without changing lures are invaluable. The ability to get a slender 5 cm shad down to the 3.0-4.0 meter zone – which was previously only accessible with large, deep-diving crankbaits – represents a destructive power beyond imagination. The Dunk will likely be an unbeatable favorite on lakes where deep-diving crankbaits are already ineffective due to high fishing pressure, or in situations where soft plastics fail.

The other innovation is the dramatic elimination of snagging, arguably the biggest weakness of shad wobblers. The Dunk works at a steeper, nose-down swimming position, more than 10 degrees steeper than average shads, and is equipped with an extra-long lip (bill), achieving snag-free performance that far surpasses other baits. This feature dramatically increases the number of bites. In heavily snagged areas (where more perch are known to reside), the ability to fish more directly, brushing against snags, is a huge advantage. The irregular action (vibration) the bait produces when deflecting off obstacles also increases the chance of a bite.

The Dunk's silhouette is that of a shad, but its snag-resisting ability surpasses that of a crankbait. It creates a new era in the world of shad wobblers.
