The development of the perfect crawfish imitation (claw bait) began with a thorough examination of the movements of previous crawfish and 'hog' type (hog-type) soft baits. Repeated movement tests and live fishing sessions in a super clear water test tank revealed that bites concentrated when the lure 'moved lifelike.' Those that moved enticingly during descent received bites during descent, while those that revealed their true capabilities during later retrieve (lure) received bites then. Conversely, if the lure loses its appeal during the entire sequence of movements – from entry into the water to retrieve – it means a missed bite opportunity. OSP's first soft bait, the Do-Live Claw, 'allows all its parts to work effectively, continuously enticing bass.' The unique movements of each part collectively create a special alluring power, dramatically increasing the number of bites during descent. Immediately after reaching the bottom, the claws (pincers) and barbels slowly collapse relative to the body, creating a delayed movement (delayed action) that captivates the bass.
