The Major Craft MS-1 MSS-F701ML is a 1-piece, 2.13-meter long, Light finesse fishing rod, with a casting weight range of up to 7 g (nominally) and Fast Taper. The MS-1 MSS-F701ML is perfectly suited for light spinning, especially when using smaller lures weighing up to 5 g.

Depending on the lure type, Micro Hard Body Crankbaits weighing a maximum of 5 g, which run at a maximum depth of 0.5 m, as well as 3.5 g Chatterbaits with a trailer, 35–50 mm long Minnow / Twitchbaits, which run at a maximum depth of 1 m, Finesse Rigs for lures weighing a maximum of 5 g and 2 inch soft plastic lures, and 3.5 g Skirted Jigs with a trailer are recommended.
