The M65's movement is unparalleled. It offers tight vibration and significant water displacement. Its low coefficient of water resistance allows the lure to move in balance in water and air without generating excessive line tension. Additionally, it has a sharp diving angle that aids in rapidly reaching the specified depth. The M65 8A dives to 9 feet (2.7 m), while the M65 11A dives to 12 feet (3.6 m) with minimal effort.

Many crankbaits suffer from the so-called "jogging" problem when they encounter obstacles. The impact disrupts the lure's swimming motion, causing it to veer off course and often flip onto its side, from which it does not return to its equilibrium position. This is not intentionally created chaotic movement, though it often appears to be. The M65, however, features a sophisticated ballast system located directly at the very bottom of the M65, on its spine. When the M65 strikes an obstacle, the impact alters the lure's path along the obstacle, but it immediately returns to its equilibrium position and continues its precise movement.

The M65's performance doesn't end with its movement. It has a very sophisticated sound chamber. While other crankbaits use beads or rattles to create sound, the M65 11A employs a sound baffle system. Perforated metal baffles are vertically arranged within a chamber where a ball interacts with each baffle, creating a unique sound that dissipates again and again. This dual-pitch sound is unique and not found elsewhere.
