Wizard Monster Surface Livebait Double Monobraid Rig for Catfish

A double-hook monofil adjustable rig. Its structure: swivel - monofil leader line - rattle - hook - braided leader line - hook + knot protectors. This rig has been specifically designed for breakaway and CatMagnet techniques. It is also ideal for longer buoys (such as the 90 cm ones available in our range). We recommend it for baiting with a single live fish.

The assist hook is secured to the main hook with braided line, making it adjustable based on the size of the baitfish. It’s recommended to insert the main hook under the dorsal fin bone to allow the baitfish to move more naturally on the rig.

The smaller assist hook can be placed into the front fin or left hanging freely beside it. If your baitfish is small and the distance between the assist hook and the main hook is too long, you can wrap the excess braided line around the main hook after positioning it until the desired length is achieved, then attach the smaller assist hook.

It's recommended to position the hooks in opposite directions on the baitfish to significantly increase the chances of a hook set. It can also be used for soft-bodied baits like worms or leeches, in which case it’s best to place the bait on the lower assist hook.

Thanks to the attached rattle, the rig produces a more intense sound, increasing the likelihood of a secure strike.
