The pentagon-shaped cage is made of solid and sturdy wire. This shape prevents the cage from bending while filling it and improves bait release underwater. It also provides more bait space in comparison with a usual square cross-section.

The bottom part features five studs to keep the cage in place on the bottom in stronger streams or during increased fish activity.
