A braided line that, thanks to its unusual, special structure, is a sinking line! The four strands of the line are made of HMPE (High Modulus PolyEthylene) material, but the heavier material of the fifth strand makes this braided line sinking. This novelty offers a new dimension for feeder anglers. Monofilament has many good properties, but there is one thing it cannot provide: the sensitivity that a fully rigged braided line setup can offer. Because the braided line has no stretch, it transmits even the slightest touch to the rod tip without loss. The extra is that this line is sinking. Previous sinking braids also had this property, but only for a limited time. The Trabucco XPS Hybrid, however, exhibits this effective property for its entire "lifetime". In addition to sinking excellently, its abrasion resistance is astonishing, and competitors who tested the line extensively before its release also spoke very positively about its knot tolerance. Among the data on the back of the packaging, a previously unused, new property value is visible: the gravitational coefficient. The baseline value is 1. This means that water and an object in it are affected by the same amount of gravity, meaning the object floats in the water. A value greater than one indicates the extent to which gravity affects the line compared to water, i.e., how much it sinks in the water. For this type of line, this coefficient ranges between 1.14 and 1.21 depending on the thickness, which corresponds to a sinking value of 14-21% in percentage terms. The higher the value, the faster the line sinks in the water. This is not a theoretical value. This data reveals how quickly the line sinks compared to other lines. And this data is useful not only during feeder fishing but also during light spinning, as retrieving the bait is even more lifelike with a sinking braided line. This line does not float on the water surface when retrieving the bait but cuts through the water. Combined with a mono or fluorocarbon leader, we can protect our hook and give it a little flexibility while also utilizing the 0 stretch of our braided line during the fight.
