The Ashura was born in 2001, and after many years of continuous production, the mold reached the end of its lifespan, leading to the creation of a new mold in 2019. While retaining the elements that made it an unparalleled 9 cm jerkbait, new features were incorporated to further enhance performance. The horizontal (horizontal) eyelet evenly distributes the tips of the three hooks, preventing them from tangling and improving the hook-up ratio. The body cross-section is square instead of round, which increases the body's volume and weight capacity, while the flat sides produce strong flashes (flashing) and more bites. Despite its slender body, the development of a low-ride internal eyelet allowed the moving weight to roll all the way to the tip of the tail section, increasing casting distance.

Changes include strengthening the previous model's rear-inserted lip, which allowed for a thinner base. The part extending into the body and the weight of the support material add extra mass, resulting in a deeper forward lean. (The new model's one-piece molded lip has a larger front air chamber, which allows for a more horizontal floating posture and better straight tracking.) Through a low-center-of-gravity, flat (plate-shaped) weight and a change in the lip's shape, the lure is capable of sharp, explosive jerk movements and a tight (tight) wobbler (vibrating) action even on a smooth retrieve.

Floating jerkbaits are used when we want to guide them around snags or weeds, 'floating up-and-around' (dodge), or to attract attention during periods of low activity (e.g., cold water, post-spawn) with jerking (twitching), then entice a bite with a quick pause and upward movement towards the surface.

The new model uses a tungsten (tungsten) ball as a moving weight, improving casting distance and accuracy. The fixed weight is a low-center-of-gravity plate, the rear weight is the same as the suspending (floating) model, while the front weight is more than 50% lighter.

The floating speed (floating speed) is set to be just fast enough that the perch doesn't give up the chase, yet still rises decisively to the surface, allowing the angler to wait for the 'surface emergence'. This perfectly imitates small fish hunting for insects falling on the water's surface.
