The PRO Wading Boot was the industry's number one collaboration with Michelin®, built on an outsole compound specifically designed for fly fishing.
This revolutionary new sole design is a stunning industry advancement in wet rubber grip. The Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsole provides 25% better abrasion resistance and 43% better wet traction compared to competitors. Applying Michelin tire geometry, it provides a wider footprint for stability, a higher surface contact ratio, and the lug pattern reduces impacts and improves pressure distribution. The dual-layer midsole features a molded ESS plate, providing better support and torsional stability. Orvis collaborated with OrthoLite® to create the 3D molded X25 insole, designed for high-impact sports, providing maximum comfort and arch support. The industry's first molded quick-drying Clarino microfiber PU upper eliminates seams in high-wear areas and drastically improves durability for greater stability, extreme abrasion resistance without adding bulk. The boot is cut higher for ankle support and lined with closed-cell foam. Scratch rubber at the toe and heel for abrasion resistance, an oversized heel pull for easier on and off, and tightly woven laces reduce lace breakage. The new and improved BOA lacing system provides consistent tension and greater comfort.
