The Bent hook set-up was incredibly effective at hooking fish, but it also caused a lot of damage, which is why anglers have been using shrink tube for years to achieve a similar hooking effect. Kickers eliminate all these worries, as they provide the same effect simply by sliding them onto the hook's eye, instead of having to steam anything.

They can also be used perfectly with a Spinner rig. Some anglers want to camouflage their rig as much as possible, and for this, the green or brown version is perfect, but in some venues, a brightly colored hook aligner on the hook can truly increase the likelihood of a fish picking it up, available in mixed red/white and yellow/pink if you want to add a bit of color to your hook. Furthermore, for anglers who use natural hookbaits, such as maggots, casters, or regularly fish in silt where red bloodworm larvae are prevalent, the latest addition to the Kickers range is the Bloodworm Red version.

All Kickers, regardless of color, are made from robust rubber, in three different sizes to match the hook you use – small for sizes 10 and 12; medium for sizes 6 and 8; and large for sizes 2 and 4 – to stay securely in place on the hook eye. When you hook a fish, the Kickers straighten out during the fight, but then return to their original shape and can be reused. Each pack contains ten Kickers.
