Korda LongChuck Tapered Leaders casting leader (15-30lb/0.33-0.47mm)

 The Korda Long Chuck Tapered Leader comes in three different combinations, allowing it to match your main line, thus ensuring the smallest possible knot and simultaneously reducing the risk of tangling on the ring (this usually occurs when connecting lines of different diameters, and the way the line spools off the reel through the bottom ring suddenly changes).

Each leader is 10 m long and contains an 8 m section with a 30 lb/0.47 mm breaking strain, which absorbs the force of the cast and also provides some protection against abrasion when playing fish - making it ideal for fishing over gravel - then the last 2 meters taper down from 0.47 mm to 0.27 mm (10lb), 0.30 mm (12lb) or 0.33 mm (15lb), depending on which of the three versions you choose. The Tapered Leaders have the same properties as the Long Chuck main line, with extremely low stretch, which aids in blank compression (heavy mono typically is quite stretchy and hinders casting); low water absorption; low weight relative to its breaking strain, as its material is transparent (dye would add extra weight), allowing it to stay airborne longer.
