The solubles are coated with an outer layer of powder which is immediately attractive once in the water. Their dissolution time is highly dependent on the water temperature.
In summer heat 2-3 hours. 5-8 hours in 15-20°C water.
In spring and cooler water in autumn it is extended to 12-15 hours.
These values are further influenced by the presence of silt or hard bottom, the presence of small fish and erosion caused by water movement.

Dissolvable buoys are best suited to lakes with muddy bottoms and low fish densities.
