Practical experience shows that hard, relatively large grains - 8-15 mm in diameter - are only eaten as a last resort by small whitefish and dwarf catfish, so your chances of catching bigger fish are multiplied sixfold if you feed them. Because the most common problem is that by the time the larger fish arrive, they are greeted by an empty plate, which is not very attractive... The secret of tiger nut's catchability is its high natural sugar content. If you haven't tasted one, you'll be amazed at how delicious it is. Besides its pleasant sweet taste, it has a protein content of around 25% and is a valuable source of vitamins. In Spain, a wide variety of tiger nut-based products are marketed for human consumption, and fish only get enough if there is any left over...:) Our raw material comes from one of the largest Spanish producers, cooked locally and flavoured with the most catchy flavourings (although it is also available in a natural, unflavoured version).
