The Matrix HX 5000 Pro Feeder reel is an improved, larger version of the HX Pro series, specifically designed for longer feeder rods and large feeder baskets. Following the success of the 3000 and 4000 models, the 5000 and 6000 sizes were developed to meet anglers' needs, ideal for long-distance casting and river fishing. The aim of the development was to offer feeder anglers a strong yet lightweight reel that provides reliable performance in the most varied conditions.
The reel is made with an ultralight magnesium body, which significantly reduces weight without compromising durability. The 5000 model weighs only 408 grams, yet it is stable and robust. The worm shaft and slow oscillation technology ensure excellent line lay, which is essential for accurate and long casts. The spool design allows for easy access and control of the cast, even on the largest reel size.
The TLS triple-sealed body prevents moisture or groundbait from entering the reel's internal mechanics, thus guaranteeing reliable operation in the long term. The SDX multi-disc drag system allows for precise and smooth fish playing, which is especially important for larger fish. The carbon-reinforced rotor is equipped with a minimal-resistance rotor brake, ensuring smooth and consistent operation. The elegant, one-piece bail arm is not only aesthetic but also extremely durable.
The reel has 10+1 ball bearings, ensuring smooth running and long lifespan. The gear ratio is 4.9:1, ideal for the rhythm of feeder fishing. The line capacity is 150 meters with Ø0.26 mm line, while the line retrieve is 90 cm per handle turn, allowing for quick and efficient line management.
