The Spomb X front drag reel is an exceptionally precise and reliable tool, specifically developed for regular, long-distance casting of bait rockets, Spombs, and other baiting tools. Designed in the United Kingdom, every detail of this model is tailored to the needs of intensive, targeted baiting, making it an ideal choice for carp fishing where accurate and effective baiting is crucial.
The heart of the Spomb X reel is a 25 kg Quick Clutch quick drag system, complemented by a high-performance Carbon Matrix brake. This combination ensures no slippage during casting, allowing heavy Spombs to be delivered safely and controllably to the desired distance. The machine-cut, aluminium-bronze alloy gear system guarantees long-term, stable operation, even with intensive use.
The reel's housing and rotor are made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic composite, providing excellent strength with low weight – just 603 grams. This is particularly advantageous during longer baiting sessions, as it reduces fatigue. The sealed internal structure, as well as the sealing of the brake, rotor, and body, prevents water, moisture, and groundbait residues from entering, thus ensuring the reel's reliable performance over the long term.
The slow oscillation function provides a perfect line lay, reducing the chance of tangles and increasing casting efficiency. The 300 méter 0.18 mm braided main line capacity ensures optimal filling, thus preventing line breakages. With a 5.2:1 gear ratio, one handle turn retrieves 124 cm of line, allowing for quick retrieval and maximizing baiting time.
The double line clip features a soft, spring-loaded design with a protective frame, helping to preserve the line's condition during repeated use. The rotor brake and manual bail arm closure eliminate the possibility of accidental closure during casting, significantly reducing the risk of line breakages.
