Shimano Antares B 101 XG Left Hand (ANT101XGB) - Left-handed baitcasting reel detailed description
The Shimano Antares B 101 XG Left Hand Baitcasting Reel continues the brand's more than 20-year tradition as the latest jewel in the flagship baitcasting series. With its futuristic design and impressive performance, this work of art is one of Shimano's most versatile baitcasting reels, meeting the expectations of even the most demanding anglers.
The Antares reel handles almost any lure with exceptional versatility, but its true strength lies in finesse fishing. When ultra-light lures need to be cast with pinpoint accuracy, this reel redefines possibilities. Whether it's finesse jigs, plastic lures, Ned rigs, or bait finesse techniques, the Antares handles them with ease. If and when larger crankbaits or swimbait lures come into play, the reel's powerful drive is ready for the challenge. The incredibly smooth Cross Carbon Drag system provides precise control and confidence against even the most unexpected trophy fish, while the Exciting Drag Sound enhances the excitement of the fight.
Its impressive casting performance is due to the cutting-edge SVS Infinity braking system and the latest Magnumlite Spool (MGL IV). The S3D designed spool, made of Ultra Duraluminium, works with Silent Tune technology to reduce even the smallest vibrations, allowing lighter lures to be cast with less effort and greater distances to be achieved. Inside the reel, the HAGANE Body houses the Micromodule gear and X-SHIP system, which provide seamless smoothness and powerful retrieval efficiency. The weight of only 215 grams and 11 bearings guarantee additional comfort and reliability. The Antares B 101 XG left-hand version with a 7.8:1 gear ratio (XG) enables exceptionally fast retrieval, while the 0.25-150 line capacity ensures versatile use. With its premium look, feel, and handling, the Antares is worthy of its flagship status and will continue to build its reputation for many years to come.
