The Avid VTX 2+1 Electronic Bite Alarm Set is a professional setup that includes two alarm heads and a corresponding receiver. The set also comprises slide-on hard cases providing protection during transport, a comfortable receiver neck strap, and a screwdriver for battery changes. The central element of the system is a bidirectional sensing roller wheel, capable of indicating both forward and backward line movement at eight different sensitivity levels, ensuring the angler is immediately notified of even the subtlest bites.
Visual feedback is provided by the Multi-light LED system, which operates visible dual LEDs in four selectable colors – green, blue, red, and yellow. The comfort of night fishing is enhanced by the optional night light function. Communication between the alarms and the receiver unit is based on VTX EPS technology, guaranteeing stable and excellent signal transmission up to a distance of 150 meters. Security is ensured by the SafeGuard anti-theft system, which alerts with an immediate audible signal if an alarm head is switched off, while the receiver's beeping memory helps accurately identify which rod had the last activity.
The devices feature a weather-resistant casing that protects the digital components from environmental influences while ensuring low power consumption. The alarm heads operate on two AAA batteries, and a cyan LED indicates critical power levels; battery status is also displayed when the receiver is turned on. A built-in Piezo speaker is responsible for clear and crisp sound reproduction. The rods' protection is guaranteed by deep, rod-friendly rubber inserts, and stable, anti-twist fastening is provided by the rigid 3/8" screw thread, locking ring, and rubber washer.
The bite alarms are operated via soft-touch side buttons and two adjustment dials, which allow fine-tuning of volume, sensitivity, tone, and light settings. The 2.5 mm output jack, protected by a weather-resistant plug, allows the use of additional accessories such as illuminated swingers.
