It works a little differently than a traditional quick change! It's more than that!

Thread the rubber onto the main line so that the wide opening end is at the bottom, facing the swivel.
Then tie on the swivel, hook in the hooklink, and pull the small rubber stopper onto the swivel until it stops.

This fulfills its dual role: it replaces the rubber beads used until now, and because it extends beyond the upper opening of the clip, it also securely holds our leader.
