Regardless of experience, compact fishfinders are among anglers' popular tools, with which the water areas in front of the fishing spot, the water depth itself, the bed conditions, and the location of fish can be easily mapped, and are no longer a secret.
The Starter among Lucky radars is a compact handheld version, which includes a wired sonar along with basic accessories.
Sonar operation is based on the propagation of sound waves. The fishfinder sonar determines the contour, structure, and depth of the seabed. The sonar emits sound waves, and determines the distance from the object based on the reflection time. Then, the position, size, and composition are determined with the help of the returning signal.
Main functions of the radar:
Fishfinding and depth measurement
In the upper right corner of the display, you can read the current water depth after switching on the device and placing the sonar in the water. The depth meter shows if the water depth is shallower than 0.7 meters or deeper than 45 meters.
Fish display
When the radar detects fish, it indicates them with a fish-shaped icon on the display. It is capable of detecting large and small fish. The column on the right side of the screen shows the position of the fish. The fish icon changes and refreshes every 5 seconds.
Weed indication
The weed indicator icon appears on the screen if the sonar detects aquatic plants. In case of two icons appearing simultaneously, a medium-sized, and in case of three weeds appearing simultaneously, a large expanse of aquatic vegetation was detected by the fishfinder.
Bottom contour
In case of one rock icon, small stones or breaks are present on the bottom. Two rock icons indicate significant rock formations or breaks. In case of three rock icons, large stones, breaks, or fallen trees are present on the seabed.
