This rod rest head is made of durable, break-resistant plastic and has a non-slip, rubberized coating. The result is a practical accessory that guarantees to hold the rod stably, does not move in during a bite, does not slipoff it. Its surface is soft, thus protecting the delicate carbon body of the feeder rod. It's no surprise that this head was named 'Safe', because its design ensures that no vehement fish can pull the rod off it. Therefore, it is advisable to choose this head if you are fishing in waters where, with an average feeder rod rest, a violent bite could 'take' the rod, leading to its damage, or worse, the equipment literally floating away. There is a distinct notch for the line on the head, which is truly useful when using a freespool reel. Regardless of whether monofilament or braided line is used, the line will not 'get stuck' in it, thus preventing damage. A washer is also located on the threaded part, which allows the head to be firmly fixed, so it will not rotate during use.
