Special baskets are needed for river fishing!
They must meet two types of requirements:

- They must be large enough to introduce an adequate amount of groundbait. But proportionally, they should not be too large, because if the surface area exposed to the river current is large compared to the lead weight, it will be difficult to stay in place.- To stay in place, traditional lead weights are often not enough. This feeder basket has lead weights at the bottom with small claws, so it can settle better on gravelly, sandy, or even clay bottoms. In addition to these, it doesn't hurt if the wire material is strong enough. Since we are fishing in river water, a basket made of weak material can easily deform and break from repeated bending. This basket will not get squashed.

It connects to our rig with a small loop, into which we can hook our swivel.

Its material is sintered, which not only makes it durable but also keeps fish suspicion away.
