This type of mesh feeder basket was inspired by the desire to reach long distances. The characteristic of traditional types was that the lead was placed on the side of the basket. This was very good for short and medium distances. And only for these two, because reaching greater distances certainly caused problems with these baskets. This was because after the throwing motion, the feeder basket could not fly smoothly and aerodynamically forward, as the lead was on its side, and thus it flew slightly tilted, sideways first, towards the target location.
Thus, the throw slowed down, was not very accurate for long distances, and often did not even reach there. These inaccuracies were eliminated by casting the lead to the bottom of the basket. This way the basket flies beautifully in a straight line. It can be thrown very far and very accurately.

A fishing line thread has been placed on its upper part for attachment, so it can be easily hooked into the swivel of our rig. When filling it, we can put groundbait into it, which can be combined with live bait (maggots, worms, mosquito larvae), or sweet corn. If we wish to fill it with the latter, be careful not to press it in too much, as the kernels will not dissolve or fall out of it on the bottom.
