Carp Expert Method Method Feeder Teflon lineWithin feeder fishing, method feeder fishing is perhaps one of the most popular branches. Since many practice it at a quite high level, lines must also adapt to increased demands. A good method feeder line must be strong enough, as in the vast majority of cases, the target fish is carp. And not just any size carp; this method often hooks capital, 20-kilogram specimens as well. Not to mention the wildly fighting grass carp, which are infamous for breaking lines near the shore. It must have minimal stretch, because casts over 100 meters are not uncommon, and with a line that stretches more, a lot of time passes before we detect a bite. The stretch of an average monofilament is 10%, which means that 100 meters of cast line can stretch 10 meters! If we imagine that a fish taking the bait pulls the line a few 10 centimeters, with such a stretch, we won't feel anything of it on the shore. The Carp Expert Method Feeder line's stretch, however, is below 5%, so we can quickly calculate that we will detect bites twice as well and sooner with it. If fish are finicky and there are few bites, only this guarantees that we won't go home empty-handed.Just because a line has low stretch, it doesn't necessarily have to be stiff! A softer line unwinds more easily from the reel spool, allowing us to cast further. Furthermore, it is also easier to handle for tying knots. And here we come to another most important, extra component of our line: the Teflon coating. The Teflon coating is useful for us because it forms a micro-layer on the surface of the line, which, thanks to its slickness, slides out of the rod guides much more easily, our line will wear out less during use, thereby increasing its lifespan. However, we absolutely do not have to worry that our knots would slip, it will not interfere with tying our hooks and swivels.
