One of the main reasons for the popularity of the old series is that despite its small size, it is extremely robust, has excellent point retention, and is very strong. The new series belongs to the A1-Hard family, whose members are made from a special material developed specifically for hook manufacturing. By adding tungsten and vanadium, they achieved the composition that is the best steel alloy for hook manufacturing.
