Bearded hooks - Carp and boyle
Choosing the right hook is not so easy, as there are many different types, sizes and shapes of hooks on the market. Bearded hooks differ from beardless hooks in that they are designed with a small protruding 'beard' ( tip ) under the tip, the beard is formed by compressing the tip of the hook, bending the hook to the correct shape and hardening it. The hook point and beard design is designed for predatory fish that have a hard strong bony mouth, so you need the stronger beard hook. Boilie hooks are designed to hold giant fish up to 20kg and above, but they need to be made from quality materials and not bend under load.
Our Bearded Carp and Bojlis hooks in our fishing webshop include hooks made with a specila edge, which is useful because the material does not thin, its strength and durability lasts much longer. Also, hooks made using the latest technology in carbon steel alloys that are up to 50% stronger but lighter. You can choose from a variety of sizes and sizes in our webshop.
