The Angl-R Barbel rods are specifically designed for marlin fishing, mainly on rivers in the UK and Europe. The rods are manufactured from high modulus carbon and have an extremely strong bottom slot, providing progressive, full action to control big fish with ease.

The Avon spike is ideal for float fishing, meat reeling or static bait fishing. The spoolie has a special luminous coating that glows in the dark after being illuminated by a light source such as a headlamp.

The blank is fitted with M-series rings, positioned so that the rod works perfectly as a marlining rod with progressive full action. Other features include an anti-snag spool ring, screw-in spool holder and high quality thin cork steel. For night anglers, the rod comes with two clip-on cartridge holders (small and large) that fit 2.2mm or 3mm cartridges and can be easily attached to the rod's spit, including a light cartridge for night fishing.
