It is not uncommon for serious cuts or abrasions to occur when a pike or catfish is caught by the mouth or gills. The risk of infection and serious disease (leptospirosis) is very real and can be avoided by using these gloves on the next catch. Our Pike gloves are supplied directly right/left, unlike other models on the market where only one hand is available. Whether you are left or right handed, or circumstances dictate, you can maneuver comfortably. A carabiner with a magnetic holder connects the pair of gloves and keeps them always within reach.
