There is no doubt that amateur fishing is currently in its heyday. Almost every weekend there are 5-6 tournaments where anglers can test their skills in organised conditions. Now we offer them, and of course professional tournament anglers, a useful tool.
Mechanical hand counters have always been used by anglers in order to count the number of fish caught and estimate the weight of their catch before it is weighed. When you're in competition, it's good to know how you stand against your opponents. In addition to the 'fish counter', a clock that accurately measures either race time or the rate of recasting is also essential .This useful tool has been designed and developed with these things in mind. In fact, it's a combination of two mechanical hand counters and a stopwatch, in a package that can be easily and conveniently attached to a fishing crate or Rotary Box.Fixing on the crateThe device can be mounted on any 36 mm diameter foot and fixed by tightening the screw. The "elbow" is adjustable by means of a small set screw, which allows the angle of inclination of the tool to be positioned correctly.Using the countersThe device has two mechanical hand counters, which count from 0000 to 9999. Pressing the metal plate on the front of the counter increases the value by one unit, while the scroll button on the side can be used to reset the counter. The two counters are useful because they allow you to count fish of different sizes separately, but also to count the number of pieces on one counter and the estimated weight on the other. But it is also useful to have two counters if you are collecting fish in two separate bags, so you can keep track of how many fish are in each bag, reducing the chances of exceeding the bag limit (which varies from tournament to tournament, usually 20 kilograms) and avoiding penalties for misconduct.Using the countdown functionThis feature is useful if you need to keep a certain pace, say every 5 or 10 minutes.Setting:Use the MIN button to set the desired minute (you can set it from 0-99 minutes)Use the SEC button to set the desired seconds (0-59 seconds).Use the START/STOP buttons to start and stop the countingAfter the time has elapsed, an acoustic signal is emitted, which can be stopped by pressing the START/STOP buttonThe clock will then offer the last set time, which can be restartedUsing the stopwatch functionThe stopwatch is also a tool often used by tournament anglers to measure how many fish are caught in a unit of time, or to determine the time after which the most fish are caught.Setting:The display can be reset by pressing the MIN and SEC buttons simultaneouslyPress the START/STOP button and the counter will start.Press START/STOP to stop and restart the counterThe clock runs on LR44 batteries. The exact procedure for battery replacement is described in the instruction manual. Please read it carefully before using the device.
