It may be just a bent piece of rubber, but often the simplest things in fishing have the biggest impact.
The Bent hook set-up was incredibly effective at hooking fish, but it also caused a lot of damage, so anglers have been using shrimp tubes for years to achieve a similar hooking effect. Kickers eliminate all of this hassle, as they give the same effect, but you simply put it on the hook's ear instead of having to steam anything. They are also perfect for use with a spinner rig. Some anglers like to camouflage their tackle as much as possible and for this a green or brown version is perfect, but in some locations a brightly coloured hook flipper on the hook can really increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the fish, with mixed red/white and yellow/pink versions if you want to add a bit of colour to your hook. In addition, for anglers who use natural hook baits such as bone baits, pupae or regularly fish in mud where red midge larvae are prevalent, the latest addition to the Kickers range is the Bloodworm Red variety. All Kickers, regardless of colour, are made from robust rubber in three different sizes to suit the hook you use - small for sizes 10 and 12; medium for sizes 6 and 8; and large for sizes 2 and 4 - to keep them tightly in place on the hook ear. When hooking a fish, the Kickers straighten out during jigging, but then return to their original shape and can be used again. Each pack contains ten Kickers.
