We used the highest quality 72T TORAY carbon fabric to achieve the best properties. The low resin content of the carbon gives the rod a tight action that helps to achieve long casting distances. During the tests, casting distances of 150-160m were easily achieved, but the maximum cast stopped near 185m. The lightweight carbon material also allowed us to increase the wall thickness of the rod, allowing for extremely heavy casting weights.
